Informizely Informizely + MailChimp MailChimp MailChimp Integration

There are two ways that you can integrate with MailChimp:

If you have a MailChimp account, you can let Informizely automatically add email addresses in a survey's responses to a MailChimp list. For example, if you have a lead generation survey (e.g. "Would you like to subscribe to our newsletter") where you ask for the user's email address, this email address and possibly the user's first and last name (if you ask for those) will be automatically added to your MailChimp list.

Survey fields

In order for Informizely to know what survey fields need to be added to the MailChimp list you need to set the "Type of text" property of one or more single-line text questions. The first question with text type "Email address" will be used for the email address. Optionally you can specify the text types "First name" and "Last name" for other single-line text questions. If these are not present the email address will be added without the name information.

MailChimp data

To integrate with MailChimp, you need your MailChimp API Key and the List ID of the MailChimp list to which the email data will be added.

Configuring MailChimp integration for a survey

To configure MailChimp integration for a survey, go to the survey's "Settings" page, click "Add an Integration", and open the "MailChimp" panel on the page that is shown. Here you specify the MailChimp API Key and List ID, and whether Double Opt-in should be used. Don't forget to check the "Enabled" checkbox. Then press "Update".

That's it! For all new responses the email data will be automatically added to your MailChimp list.
