Informizely logo integration plus ActiveCampaign logo ActiveCampaign Integration

There are two ways that you can integrate Informizely with ActiveCampaign:

  • Embed the first question of a survey in a ActiveCampaign email campaign. Your can read more about embedded surveys here.
  • Let Informizely automatically add email addresses in a survey's responses to a ActiveCampaign list. This integration is further discussed in this article.

If you have an ActiveCampaign account, you can let Informizely automatically create a ActiveCampaign contact from email addresses in a survey's responses, and optionally add it to an ActiveCampaign list. For example, if you have a lead generation survey (e.g. "Would you like to subscribe to our newsletter") where you ask for the user's email address, this email address and possibly the user's first and last name (if you ask for those) will be automatically added to your ActiveCampaign list.

Survey fields

In order for Informizely to know what survey fields need to be added to your ActiveCampaign account you need to set the "Type of text" property of one or more single-line text questions. The first question with text type "Email address" will be used for the email address. Optionally you can specify the text types "First name" and "Last name" for other single-line text questions. If these are not present the email address will be added without the name information.

ActiveCampaign data

To integrate with ActiveCampaign, you need your ActiveCampaign API Key, API URL and optionally the List ID of the ActiveCampaign list to which the email data will be added.

  • Your API Key and API URL can be found on the Settings/Developer page in your ActiveCampaign dashboard.
  • To find the optional List ID, go to the "Lists" page in your ActiveCampaign dashboard and click the list that you want the add the contacts to. The List ID is part of the URL shown in the browser.

Configuring ActiveCampaign integration for a survey

To configure ActiveCampaign integration for a survey, go to the survey's "Settings" page, click "Add an Integration", and open the "ActiveCampaign" panel on the page that is shown. Here you specify the ActiveCampaign API Key and API URL and optionally the List ID. Don't forget to check the "Enabled" checkbox. Then press "Update".

That's it! For all new responses the email data will be automatically added to your ActiveCampaign list.
